We are well into the winter season in Australia and although the weather is cooling down, it doesn’t mean your hair has to! Trending in 2017 are warmer tones, shorter strands and a whole lot of volume! At Blush Central we’re all about being current and with hundreds of incredible hairdressers and stylists on site, we’re always updated with the hottest hair trends of the season. Here are our top favourites:

Bronde is not like the once-bad ombrés with such stark and severe demarcation lines, but a blonde that maintains depth, contrast, and has ends that gradually get lighter towards the bottom. You’ll notice that bronde hair is rocked by likes of Gigi Hadid and Jennifer Lopez and especially looks good when it’s styled in beach waves or curls. It’s a great look that doesn’t need too much maintenance, simply because the longer your roots grow out, the better it looks!

Long bob cut

The classic 90’s long bob otherwise known as “lob” is back and it isn’t going anywhere!

If you’re looking to change up your style completely, this should be an option. Short hair is trendy, versatile and easy to manage! The lob suits every face shape, as long as it’s styled right. Someone with a square face shape would suit a layered lob around the face framing area whereas a blunt cut will suit someone with a longer, oval shape.

Metallic tones

From shiny rose gold to silvery blonde, the metallics are most definitely trending. It’s a great look to experiment with if your hair is looking dull and lifeless. Different to pastel trends of the past, metallic hair is all about shine. This style looks great on almost every skin tone, as long as the job is done well. If you’ve been toying with the idea of a hair color change—now is the best time to take the daring plunge.

Natural curls

In excellent news for over-sleepers everywhere, 2017 is poised to be the year of natural-looking hair. Hair stylists are adopting more subdued, natural, and softer in both texture and colour for their latest styles. If you naturally have curly hair, be sure to experiment with your natural locks. The more volume, the better!
